Early & Personal Life
Kripashankar Singh hails from a Rajput family in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Kripashankar was working at a Medicine Company AFD (Aglo French Department) as a machine operator at a young age. He subsequently joined the Congress and rose through the ranks. Kripashankar Singh has two children, a son Sanjay Singh and daughter Sunita Singh.
Career
Kripashankar Singh was a key player for Congress gains in 2009 in Mumbai against Shiv Sena in the Maharashtra assembly elections. He also was the president of the INC for Mumbai region until June 2011, he forcefully resigned in 2010 after his son was linked to the 2G scam in telecommunications corruption.

Kripashankar Singh was charged for possessing disproportionate assets and his son was linked with the gigantic 2G scam, which forced him to resign. There was a raid at his Bandra residence, following the charges.
