Controversy
Afzal Dawoodani’s second wife claimed that he has deserted her and their daughter. Mrs. Aamna Dawoodani claimed that she was married in the presence of a Qazi, and that Afzal Dawoodani tortured and raped her many times during their marriage. Once when she was heavily pregnant which resulted in her having to be hospitalized. She also claims that Afzal Dawoodani forced her to have an abortion so that he would not have a third child and could contest in the BMC elections.
