Ram Kadam was born in the Latur district of Maharashtra and has one brother Dilip Kadam and a son Aum Kadam. 

Career

Ram Kadam was elected as an MLA from Ghatkopar West in 2009. He was suspended for 4 years from the assembly on its opening day for opposing Abu Azmi of the Samajwadi Party taking oath in Hindi. In 2014 Ram Kadam joined the BJP and was again elected as an MLA. Ram Kadam has also served as the Spokesperson for the BJP.

Controversy

Ram Kadam was suspended from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for four years from the opening day in 2009 as he opposed Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi taking his oath in Hindi and assaulted him.

During a Gokulashtami event in 2018 Ram Kadam said that if a boy wanted to marry a girl with his parent’s blessings and if they girl rejected the boy then he would make sure they were married and also gave his mobile number to the crowd and asked them to call him for the same. This drew widespread criticism and Mr. Kadam was removed as a spokesperson of the BJP.
